So we found the first Geode in our survival world very close to the base. When 1.17 came out we trimmed the world back to allow new generation of 1.17 features. The geode is actually pretty large and nicely formed so my daughter wants to make a display out of it and find another one to mine for amethyst. It would be convenient to farm the amethyst close by but I have to agree with her, this one is perfect to make a cool feature area out of.

The general plan is to mine it out up to the surface and cover the top with glass. This will allow us to view the geode and possibly at a small platform inside to access it. We have started clearing out the lower section and will continue up to the surface.
