The Keep Fortress
Continuing the progress on the Keep Fortress we now have the 4 main towers completed and the section for the upper level laid out. With the main sections of the towers setup and some of the lighting and details added most of the scaffolding could come down. It takes some extra time to put back up later when changes are made but it makes it easier to see the full build and notice if anything is off.
Entrance to the Keep
The main entrance to the Keep Fortress section is almost complete. Straight from the module it is described as “solidly built to withstand attack” and “the door is solid iron”. Luckily we have iron doors in Minecraft already so that part was easy.
Sticking with stone for the main entrance is a given. To keep the textures from all blending together I used some polished deepslate and polished basalt mixed in with the deepslate tiles. For security the iron bars worked well with wall blocks at the corners to make arrow slits. Archers have a nook inside the door that allows them to watch through the bars for any intruders.
Next up will be the upper level with the Castellan’s Chambers.
