Welcome back to our Minecraft Survival World series. While the kids were busy with school work I went ahead and expanded the farm area inside of the mansion.

Expanded Crop Farm

The mansion generated with 2 small farm rooms on the same side. To expand them I simply took down the walls and cleared the room between them. Placing more dirt down gave plenty of room for crops, about 20 times what originally fit here.

To keep the crops watered I left a hole every 7 blocks down the center aisle. This allowed me to add water to those and place a top slab to keep us from falling in.

With the torches and windows there is plenty of light both day and night to keep everything growing. Since this runs down the side of the mansion they continue growing if we are in or even near the mansion (10 block simulation distance).

After that just spent a few minutes gathering wood and cobblestone. We are going to head out next to the nearby villages and then start digging a starting mine.
