Castle Walls

After laying out the floor and spiral staircases inside the castle I can get back to the corner towers and finishing up the exterior. So far I really like how the deepslate and mangrove wood look together for the walls. I’m keeping the main part of the castle symmetrical so I continued the build in the same pattern as the front two walls and added the next towers.

Entry Area

With the next tower setup I can lay out the entry area from the wall section. Across the opening of the valley there will be a wall and that wall will also be the entry area to the main part of the castle. First I setup the door opening and an upper window that will lookout over the wall.

Finishing the Walls

Now that the entry area is laid out and the north east tower setup I added the rest of the wall details including the andesite wall pillars on the towers. Next was lighting it up with shroom lights inside each tower and at the corners of the roof area.

Wall Walkway and Entry

For entry and working on the walls I went ahead and laid out the main section of the wall across the valley and steps leading up to it. This gives me a better idea on scale and where to place the gate centered between the two sections of the castle. The floor of the main wall section is tuff and the steps are the packed mud bricks. I’m really enjoying the 1.19 blocks Minecraft added, they work really well together and with the 1.18 blocks.

Next Steps

Next up will be the interior storage and chest room along with the crafting area. I’ve got an update on the Keep build that I will post up tomorrow and then back here to start moving into the castle. Thanks for checking out the progress and hope you’re all enjoying it so far.
